The York Ice Trail is back for the fourth year and looks to be even bigger and better than before. I have seen a number of Ice events over the years and they are gaining more and more popularity every year.
I love them, I think its a great idea and gets you out the house and out with the family. I mean who doesn't love a trail and a wander around a historic city.

York is somewhere we visit quite often and know very well and the Ice trail is the perfect excuse to have a wander, look at the old buildings and even discover some new shops (or old ones) . The event sounds fantastic and we are hoping to head down and check it out. Tag us in your photos if you do go along.
The Ice Trail Is back 3rd & 4th February and will have sculptures located across the city. The event is free to attend, no booking is needed and you can either download a map HERE or you can collect one from the visitors centre which is now located at 21 Parliament Street.
This year theme is The City Of Dreams and is brought to you by the team at Make It York. You can share your photos by using #YorkIceTrail
This year there are 33 sculptures to find that have been dotted around the city centre, I hope you are feeling fit!
The grounds of Middleton Hotel will be transformed in Wonka heaven and will have 4 Interactive sculptures as well as competitions, crafts, samples and lots more. There will also be live sculpture sessions from Icebox throughout the weekend.
