What to expect from a Festive visit to Preston Park Museum and the Behind the Seams Exhibition

We love visiting Preston Park Museum and I am always telling people what great value for money it is at just £15 for a family annual pass. There's quite a bit to do at Preston Park and they usually have seasonal activities on throughout the year.

You can take a look around the gorgeous building, which has been transformed into a museum, there's a Victorian street, you can go into some of the shops and sometimes you will find volunteers there to chat to. Also on the street is a lovely café (the cakes are delicious!) During the warmer months the walled garden is open and it is so worth going to take a look because it is gorgeous!

We visited again this week and renewed our annual pass, as we really wanted to see the Victorian street decorated for Christmas. We didn't really get the full effect as we visited early in the day but it was still pretty. I also wanted to visit the "Behind the Seams" Exhibition.

What else can you expect on your festive visit?

🦌Meet Santa's Reindeer everyday until 29th December

🎅You can purchase food for the reindeer for £1 a bag

👗🧥For younger kids you can also find a fantastic new play area 'Winpennys Wardrobe' Full of fancy dress costumes, a colouring table, stage and more.

Behind the Seams Exhibition

You can read all about the stories behind the costumes. You need to pay an additional fee to see this exhibition and tickets cost £5 per Adult £3 per Child and can be booked on your day of visit at the reception desk. You must have a valid ticket for the museum. You can book a slot for either 10-1 or 1-4

I wont post lots of pictures as I think everyone who has a chance should pop along and take a look
