What do my kids like about Autumn? Blogtober day 21

I am the main contributor to this blog and write most of the posts myself with Craig’s input. As the boys have started to get a little older and shown more interest into what I do I thought it would be fun to do a ‘What do the kids think’. So why not start with Autumn and Halloween?

Hi I am Adam, I’m 13.

What do you like about Autumn?

I really like the colours you get from the leaves, especially when they all blend together and you get a mix of all the different browns, reds, yellows and greens.

One of my favourite things to do in Autumn is go to a forest on a breezy day and catch the leaves.

I love to carve pumpkins, my mum thinks they smell like tea when you cut into them.

I also enjoy dressing up for Halloween.

What do you not like?

The only thing I don’t really like is how quick the weather changes from boiling hot in the Summer to freezing cold over night.

Hi I am Toby Jack and I am 11.

What do you like about Autumn?

I like playing in the leaves and throwing them around, I really like how they feel when you walk on them and they are crispy.

I like to dress up for Halloween, usually as a skeleton.

I love HALLOWEEN it is my favourite time of the year. I like to watch scary movies and go trick or treat for some yummy treats.

What do you not like?

I don’t like the cold weather, I have poorly joints, especially my knees and back and the cold makes me hurt more.

I don’t like face paint, I really hate how it feels on my face.

Hello I am Elliot and I am 7.

What do you like about Autumn?

I like having more hot chocolate with marshmallows and squirty cream and chocolate curls.

I like to throw leaves at Mum and Dad. I love to play in the leaves and catch them when they are blown from the trees.

I like to look for worms, they like Autumn because it is wetter.

I like Halloween, but only the fun bits, like trick or treat and pumpkin carving, but I don’t like the scary bits!

What do you not like about Autumn?

I don’t like the cold because you can’t go to the beach as much as you can in Summer or you will freeze to death.

Spiders. I really don’t like them and there’s loads here on the farm in Autumn!
