Are you looking to take your father out for a special father’s day treat? Then look no further, I have put together a quick handy list of ideas on spectacular days out for you all to enjoy. Father’s day is 16th June 2019
Beach fun with daddy and Elliot
The Beach
If the weather allows, why don’t you pull together a picnic of some of your dad’s favourite foods. Sit and relax on the beach for the day. You could even play some beach friendly games or go swimming in the sea. One our favourite beaches to go to is Druridge Bay
Cinema
Is there a movie your dad really wants to see right now? Then why not treat him to the movies, grab some popcorn and sit back and relax. Check out the fab Odeon Luxe Cinemas with the ultimate reclining chairs! ( We go to our local once a month)
Car show
June is the season of car shows. You can’t turn around without seeing a banner for yet another car show. I know Craig loves going to car shows, so if you have a dad who is into his wheels then this is perfect for you . Classic Car Show at Castle Howard
Fancy Meal
Is your Dad a foodie? Then why don’t you treat him to a nice meal at one of his favourite restaurants this fathers day. Check out the menu at one of local Marco Pierre White restaurants
Theatre Show
Does your dad like going to the theatre? There is bond to be something on that he would love to go and see, why not grab some pre show drinks in the lounge before hand? Check out The School Of Rock Show.
Football match/Experience
Is your dad a football hooligan? If I am honest my husband Craig isn’t a huge fan of football, but my dad is and I know he would love this one! How about an SAFC tour and lunch? (My hometown)
Festival experience
I know this wouldn’t generally be everyone’s idea of a great day out, for me some festivals are pretty overwhelming. But for those dads out there how about the ultimate almighty TruckFest
Indoor Skydive experience
This is for those thrill seeker dads. I am fine with my feet firmly on the ground, however I mentioned this to my boys the other day because Craig has been dropping hints about going. IFLY looks amazing!
Weekend getaway
How about a weekend away in a quiet national park. Craig would pick North Yorkshire, but we live in a country with a few gorgeous national parks. So if you don’t want to travel for ages there’s something for you. Check out snaptrip for last minute deals
Bushcraft Experience
Now this one would be a firm favourite of our boys, who all love Bushcraft. This is for those outdoor dads. Wildwood Bushcraft would be my pick for a great experience.
Rib Trips
We live quite close to Eyemouth and visit regularly, but one of the things we have yet to try is the famous Rib Trips. If im 100% honest I would probably send the boys on with Craig because proper bouncy boats make me nauseous. Rib Trips ( Suitable for 10+)
A walk in a NT property
How about popping to the beautiful Cragside in Northumberland and have a stroll around the gardens followed by a look around the famous Jurassic Park house and then get lost in the woods, We love Cragside and you can even grab some food while you are there. Cragside House and Gardens NT
The Pullman Experience
We absolutely love steam trains in this house, and fathers day would be amazing with a Pullman lunch experience down at North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
Fishing Trip
When I was young I remember me and my dad going fishing alot. Although I don’t go fishing now, I still know a few people that love it. So why don’t you find a special spot and fish for the afternoon, you could even take a picnic. Fishing at Bowhill House
Go Karts
I just know my boys and Craig would love to go karting for the day. What’s not to like? Check out The Ultimate Karting Experience in Glasgow
Bowling
Do you love to bowl? We do, and it is a favourite of Craig’s so this one would go down pretty well with him. Loads of towns have Bowling alleys these days so check out your local for any deals or specials available. World Of Bowling is our choice in Edinburgh.
Go Ape
How about a day of climbing trees, ziplining and just having tons of fun. Go Ape have venues all over the UK so check out the website to find your closet one. GO APE
What are you planning for father’s day 2019? Do you have somewhere special you go every year? Either way I hope you all enjoy spending your day with loved ones and create long lasting memories.
