We headed to Lamesley Farm - Christmas Trees Newcastle last week to check out the freshest possible real trees, we then headed back on Saturday (25th) to pick our tree with the boys.

I love the fact that the trees are still growing, so not only are they 100% fresh, you can also get an idea of how they will look in your living room. Plus it means that no trees will go to waste because they wont be getting cut down unless someone chooses that tree.

On Saturday the 25th November we headed back to the farm to choose our tree with the boys. I thought this would be pretty easy but boy was I wrong! We were there ages walking around thinking we had found the tree and then spotting a better one. We finally decided on a 7ft/8ft Spruce which is just absolutley gorgeous. We went for delivery as we didnt want to do a harry and the hendersons down the A1 back home. (would be just our luck to loose the tree on the drive home haha) Delivery was pretty quick and it came on Sunday moring. If only the rest was that easy. We spent most of Sunday trying to get it to stand up in the flipping stand but it keot tipping over, so we went to the local hgarden centre and got a different stand and it was too big, then the tree decided it was going to stand up in the original stand. Fingers crossed it stays up until at least boxing day. The smell is amazing!
