(AD) Ormesby Hall is one of my favourite National Trust properties to visit. So when we were kindly invited along to see 2022's Christmas décor, we didn't hesitate.
The work the staff and volunteers do at Ormesby Hall throughout the year is just amazing, then it's Christmas and they just some how manage to make it 10x amazing. We are always super impressed with the décor at Christmas, last year I was even inspired to make some paper snowflakes with the boys to hang up, after seeing them here.
This year it is Oh Yes It Is.... A Fairytale Christmas and it is magical!
I won't go into too much detail on the actual displays because I want you to go see it for yourself. It is fantastic, so much work has gone into transforming the house. Elliot absolutely loved it and thought some of the designs were really good and well thought out, He is into pirates at the minute so his favourite was of course.... Peter Pan. You can find questions in each room to test your fairytale knowledge. You can also write your three wishes on a card and place it on the wishing tree (The Aladdin room) and you will also find a few selfie opportunities. I loved the stage that had been set up on the ground floor, complete with lots of costumes to choose and wigs to create your very own panto.

If you heading to Ormesby on a weekend you can also enjoy the Elf Crazy Christmas Crafts. Each child can choose a free craft to make. These a small charge for more.
The theme this year was inspired by the theatrical life of Ruth Pennyman. You can see her Christmas decorations on one of the trees.
This Christmas a theatrical theme runs throughout the house, with decorated Christmas trees and decorations inspired by the some of the most beloved pantos such as Peter Pan and Sleeping Beauty.
You can also enjoy seasonal food and hot drinks from the café and you can now purchase Christmas trees and Wreaths.
Normal admission applies to visit Ormesby Hall.
Don't miss the second hand book shop, if you don't have any spare change, you can pop into the café and pay by card.
