October half term is almost here and there are so many fantastic events going on across the North East this year. I am just happy that events can go ahead this year because, let's face it, last year was rubbish.

Sunderland Festival Of Lights 14th Oct then every Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday until the 13th November. Illuminations are on everyday throughout Half term.
The festival is making a comeback to Roker Park this year with a mix of old and new including a Funfair on Cliffe park. Booking is required. We are heading along for opening night so keep an eye out on socials for pics and a review.
The infamous trail is back from 25th Oct - 31 Oct. You can either download a map and trail sheet or grab them from the many attractions. As you make your way around score each Scarecrow and then hand in your sheet ready for the voting.
We highly recommend this event and have took part a few times when we lived close by.

Preston Park's Magical Creatures - 23rd Oct - 31st Oct
Dress up in your favourite costume and head along to Preston Park, 6 magical creatures have escaped and are lurking around the Victorian Street can you help find them? Various activities throughout the day as well as North Yorkshire Birds of Prey will be visiting with the owls throughout Half Term. Normal admission charges apply. For more info click HERE
