Marfit Head Farm Campsite, North Yorkshire. Our Latest Family Adventure.

*We paid for our own stay, and in no way have received anything in return for this review*

We have stayed at Marfit Head Farm a few times, in fact I can remember the very first time we stayed there because it was crazy windy and we ended up with a hole in our tent due to the wind. However that was just a bad weekend for the weather all round so it didn't put us off going back.

Marfit Head Farm Campsite is situated fairly centrally in the North York Moors National park, giving you some fab views and even better sunsets.

We decided a while back to buy a camper and lots of camping equipment to start our travelling plans that we have been talking about for quite some time now, and will be travelling all over the UK this year.

Our first stop to start this off was North Yorkshire, somewhere we know well and love. We have always had a soft spot for North Yorkshire and just love being there, not only is it a beautiful part of the world, the people are also lovely and welcoming. We made use of our little gas hob the first night and made s'mores and we just sat around the campsite taking in that good Yorkshire air!

Marfit Head Farm is a gorgeous campsite with a field to the front for Caravan and Motorhome club members, The Top Field with 25 pitches and the Back field which also has 20 Pitches. We feel like this is just right for us because we do like quiet sites where you're not on top of everyone. One of the things I love here is you get a good sized and if it isn't busy you also get to choose where you want to be. This time we choose pitch 8 which is right in the bottom corner surrounded by trees. The field has a slight slope, has EHU for each pitch and water supply, also areas for you to empty toilet waste. During the Summer the toilet block and showers will be re-opened too. We have used the toilets and showers in the past and they are always spotless.

In the surrounding fields are lots of cows, bare in mind they are noisy, although we didn't hear them during the night. Also sheep, a few Donkeys, Goats, Chickens and Pigs. Before Covid you could watch the cows being milked, but this is not allowed at the minute. We did get to feed the Lambs, Elliot loves this as he is animal crazy.

On the site you will also find a small play area for children and plenty of picnic spots along with a dedicated dog exercising walk through the woods.

Dogs are allowed on the site, however they must be on a lead at all times due to it being a working farm.

The campsite is clean and friendly with some great sunsets, you get plenty of space and is situated in a handy location for any shopping you may need to do.
