Kirkleatham Owl Centre

We called into Kirkleatham Owl Centre for Hedgehog Day last week.

We had a great morning visiting the centre. It is such a bargain attraction and a family ticket only costs £10 and you can come and go all day.

With over 100 birds and small animals, Kirkleatham Owl Centre is the oldest established Owl Centre in the UK. There's quite a lot to look at and we found ourselves just standing looking at the animals for ages. My sister also came along and she loved it and was fascinated with the Giant continental Rabbit.

On the day of our visit it was Hedgehog day, I was a little disappointed to see no hedgehogs and there was just a room with some raffle tickets, leaflets and knitted hedgehogs. I was looking forward to seeing the hedgehogs.

However we still had a great visit and would definitely visit again and recommend it to all ages.

We really enjoyed a relaxed walk around the circular route and although it isn't the biggest of places it is well worth visiting especially if you are in the area.
