AD| We were kindly invited along for a 30 minute semi private riding lesson with The lovely Julie from East Boldon Riding Centre.
This was the first time any of the boys have been on a horse but, by the end of their lesson, they seemed like naturals, thanks to their awesome instructor. We have always loved horses so this was a great way to introduce riding to the boys. (Click on the blue links to find out more)
On arrival we were greeted by the instructor Julie, the boys were fitted for helmets and introduced to their ponies, who were chosen based on the boys' height and weight. Elliot was a little nervous at first, but his pony (Jack) noticed this and was brilliant with him, so he soon perked up and took to the whole experience really well. He even took part in galloping which I was surprised at. Elliot has never been good with heights so fingers crossed this has given him a bit more confidence. Toby has always been great with animals and he loved every minute of the lesson. Adam also said he really enjoyed it and would definitely go back for lessons.
At the centre there's plenty of parking, toilets, a little picnic spot for the kids and everyone is so lovely and welcoming. Travelling by car you are better off coming in from opposite the cricket club. The centre has recently been named as one of the top 3 riding schools in the country by the equestrian business awards! Fingers crossed for the finals in October.
