Cinderella - Empire Consett 2024

Panto season is well and truly in full swing as we have been to our first if the year at Empire Consett to see Leah Bells masterpiece Cinderella!

Yet again Leah has written a fantastic show that the whole family will love.

Cinderella is a classic and the cast really made it a special show for all to see. The casting was great and everyone did a fantastic job entertaining the Audience. Vocals were all spot on and we thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Is there even a better way to spend an afternoon?

What to expect

👑A dance competition for the audience to join in

👑Underwater scene which was magical.

👑Plenty of costume sparkle

*Some rude jokes are in this show which a few people behind us made a comment on as they had young children so if you have very sensitive kids you may need to take this on board.

*Get there early. We were running a bit behind and got to the theatre 10 minutes before the show was about to start and the queue was out the door.

Best on stage for me and who stood out the most was Jonny Larmin, who plays The Grand Duke Ferdinand. - I thought he was hilarious and he just looked like he was at home on stage. The kids were all laughing at his silliness!

We did spot a Merch stall but it didn't have anything on it and no staff anywhere to ask for help. A few people were complaining about this. We would have loved a Programme for the collection but no one seemed to know anything about them.
