5 amazing places to spend Halloween. Blogtober day 22

Updated: Feb 19, 2020

I have always loved Halloween, and then I met Craig who loves Halloween and now our boys also love Halloween. WOOHOO. It is a win win situation!

We have been thinking about travelling more and seeing more of the world. How amazing would it be to spend Halloween in a totally different country and exploring its history? So, where are the best places to spend Halloween?

Here is our Halloween bucket list.

  1. Salem Massachusetts.~ This has been on my to do list forever! Salem is one amazing place that has its own history, but come Halloween it just brings it to a whole new level. The story is between February 1692 and May 1693, more than 200 people were accused of witchcraft. 19 of those 200 were found guilty and executed by hanging. 14 women and 5 men lost their lives.

  2. Edinburgh ~ 40 minute drive from my house, No matter what time of year it is you can soak up all of it’s past, but come Halloween, take an underground tour and you will find out just why it is a top Halloween destination. The Edinburgh Samhain fire festival is a must.

  3. Dublin Ireland ~ Dublin really go all out for Halloween, home to ghosts and fairies and the infamous Irish Famine Ghosts what’s not to love about Dublin!

  4. New Orleans ~ One of the most haunted places in the states! New Orleans is just absolutely amazing. Thousands of people are drawn to the French quarter as every mythical creature, demon and monster known to man parade up and down Frenchman street.

  5. Prague ~ Prague offers something for all ages, from a bustling nightlife of Halloween parties to fun kids events and activities. Prague is becoming more accustomed to the celebration of Halloween and more people are joining in with Trick of Treat, and decorating Pumpkins. An ancient city that dates back over 1000 years, it is one place you will definitely spot a ghost.
